STATEMENTS
Rimini mayor, Andrea Gnassi
comments, ´For over half a century Rimini and its imagery have featured a long series of great personalities from the music world that stopped off and lived in this city. A soundtrack that goes from Fabrizio De Andrè to Carlo Alberto Rossi from Fred Buscaglione, through Romagna´s traditional ´Liscio´ music to Zubin Mehta, and everything in between, from the Club Culture that anticipated numerous trends, contributing to constructing and expanding the superstar DJ phenomenon. Music is part of our identity, a component of our DNA: it is vitality, the ability to aggregate, amusement and lifestyle.

Patrizia Cecchi, Italian Exhibitions Director of IEG, states, ´We are proud to present this second edition of Music Inside Rimini, which, following the success of the first and with its unique original format, once again brings together the entire professional live music and entertainment market. The idea is to provide a context for networking between manufacturers, buyers and technicians, who will have the possibility of personally testing technology live, on real concert stages. It will be the opportunity to kick-start the changes necessary for relaunching investments in the entertainment sector, which has always been at the centre of our commitment. Following these policies, Rimini has built one of the structured assets of the facilities it offers tourists, consolidating an atmosphere, rhythm and dynamics of a real place and therefore recognizable characteristics. Music Inside Rimini strengthens this specific leitmotif, aimed above all at a young target, in which the virtuous collaboration between public and private has a decisive role.´

THE MACRO AREAS AND NEW SECTIONS
As well as the 4 macro areas already experimented, i.e. Technology Expo, where the most important international brands exhibit professional technology for the entertainment world, LiveYouPlay, with 9 live stages on which technological innovations will be presented and tested live, Innovation4Entertainment, a space in which the entertainment and clubbing worlds meet, thanks to the stage fitted out by Pioneer DJ in collaboration with Sangalli Tecnologie, and Music Inside Festival, organized by Lemmo´s with one of the most high-profile line-ups ever put together in Italy, this second edition is further enriched by new sections. The first is ´Professional Video & Broadcast´, in which visitors will find on show equipment and technology connected with the audiovisual world; the second area on the other hand is dedicated to ´Integrated Systems´, in other words solutions for the implementation of AV projects with high technological standards; the third is Music Inside Education, an area in which, over the three expo days, the sector´s professionals will have access to a wide choice of workshops and conferences; last, but no less important, Arena Startup, a new section reserved exclusively for the world of ´young´ enterprises.

The key player in the Broadcast section is the know-how of the IBTS (Italian Broadcast & Technologies Show), precisely studied as a traditional event for networking between manufacturers and trade visitors, but also as an educational opportunity. In fact, the three days of Music Inside Rimini will feature a busy program of in-depth workshops of both a technical nature, such as on the use of a gimbal, or the correct creation of audio for video, and of a more transversal type, such as for example the legal aspects of audio-video production.
The inclusion of IBTS in the new area of Music Inside Rimini was an important strategic choice, enabling to provide an even more comprehensive view of the audio-video sector in a single context.

In collaboration with Connessioni magazine, the Integrated Systems section will not only be an expo area, but an all-round project including solutions, events, training and numerous meeting and networking opportunities. An opportunity not to be missed for companies to show exactly what system integration is, and for trade members the ideal opportunity for an insight on the potential of integrated systems, participating in forums and events, and taking part in seminars and education sessions.

In the Music Inside Education section, space will be dedicated to training and professional updating in the context of the 3 macro areas at Music Inside Rimini: Integrated Systems, in collaboration with Connessioni Magazine; Mondo Musica, in collaboration with DOC Servizi; Professional Video & Audio, in collaboration with IBTS. Integrated system experts, designers, engineers, system technicians and architects will have access to initiatives such as, for example, the one-day conference entitled ´Smart Environments´ focusing on the use of multimedia and connectivity for working and studying, in which real case histories will be taken into consideration to clarify the potential and application characteristics of Audio, Video and Control technologies in these environments. But the meeting events will also regard the analysis of topics connected with wider market opportunities, such as the application of integrated systems in the nautical sector, IoT, theme parks, Digital Signage and visual communication.

The Startup Arena is a special initiative that MIR decided to launch to highlight its commitment to supporting small young Italian enterprises, offering them a space to develop and increase their business ideas in the video and broadcast sector. An important project which is the result of the collaboration with IBTS (Italian Broadcast and Technologies Show) and represents an authentic enrichment of what the expo has to offer as far as technological innovation is concerned.

Worthy of note is the new evening event on 7th May, at Rimini expo centre, with the key players in the worlds of clubbing and event and show organization, featuring national and international artistes and guests.

ARTISTIC WORK´S LEGALITY AND DIGNITY TO THE FORE
A spotlight on the collaboration with an important organization such as Doc Servizi, the first network of professionals working on a cooperative platform, leader in Europe and reference point for over 6,000 members, including musicians, artistes, technicians, teachers and professionals from the worlds of entertainment, culture and art.
During Music Inside Rimini, Doc Servizi will organize events for all the participants, with meetings and in-depth talks on topics such as the value of legality and the dignity of artistic work in the music world. The really new feature will be the highlighting at national level of the Live Parade, monthly charts already successfully experimented on the KeepOn circuit, of the best live performances and the venues hosting them. Only artistes and venue taking part in the legality campaign, ensuring ´correct´ fees, will have the right to qualify for the charts. There will also be talks on the news regarding image rights and copyright in the Web 2.0 age, app development and Italian music start-ups; plus trends and current phenomena, such as Hip Hop.
